Blacklist

Blacklists are using the system "allow everything except entries on the blacklist" and are the most common form used by Censorware to block access to unwanted websites.

The opposite Whitelist which means "allow nothing except entries on the whitelist" and is not very common.

A commercial managed URL blacklist service for Dansguardian and SquidGuard is urlblacklist.com with about 2595022 entries (January 2008) in about 60 different categories.
