Hopster is an easy to configure commercial proxy tool. The free version is limited to a 4kb/s transfer rate (speed of an old 56k modem) but surfing feels faster.

Just download the 1.3mb setup file and install it. It will test your connection and Firewall and then configure everything automatically. The free vesion shows an advertisment banner on top of your screen. The basic version costs 3.33 US-Dollar/month and gives you no advertisments and a speed of 4kb/s. For 10 US-Dollar/month you get 25kb/s download speed and for 20 US-Dollar they promise a speed of 100kb/s.

Just configure your browser, ICQ, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, FTP, IRC and so on to use a Socks 4 proxy server with the IP 127.0.0.1 and Port 1080 (thats the Hopster application on your own PC). You are also anonymous.

When I tested the software I got the IP "vlan743-gw.lgho.com". The current version is preview release 17 from 2005.

Make sure to discheck "Install Webhancer" during installation, that's spyware!
