I2P
From Cship
I2P (Invisible Internet Project) is a anonymous network similar to Freenet. The difference to Freenet is that I2P works on the network layer, and so you can use the software for any application (FTP, Usenet, Peer-to-peer, IRC, E-mail and so on).
I2P can be used to access "regular" internet websites, however it isn't designed for that purpose. Only HTTP sites on the regular internet work over I2P, however almost all protocols are usable within I2P network.
I2P Encryption starts at your computer, the data you send never leaves your computer without being encrypted. With I2P, you are able to access I2P's eepSites(I2P websites) that are hosted on other I2P users' computers. When accessing these 'eepSites' you are connected with an end to end encrypted connection. eepSite URLs end with a .i2p, e.g. forum.i2p, with the proxy enabled on the browser, it will connect using I2P.
