Privoxy

Privoxy is a proxy software licensed unter the GNU GPL open source licence which can run under Windows as well as Linux and MacOS. It is based on the Internet Junkbuster where the last development took place in 1998.

The most common use is on a client machine to protecting privacy and filter out advertisements from websites (like the AdBlock extension in Firefox) but is is also used in combination with TOR to bypass Internet censorship.

The current version is 3.0.8 from January 20, 2008.
