Sedazad (formerly NedaNet) is a network to serve as a jumping-off point for a coalition of individuals who want to help ensure that everyone can communicate without restraint.

Currently they are focused the Iran, whose citizens have been subjected to one of the most thorough and restrictive communication filters ever seen on a massive scale. They help to develop and promote tools which allow for secure communication, beyond the censorship and control of the Iranian regime.

[edit] Who was Neda?

NedaNet has been formed in honor of a young woman, named Neda Agha Soltan, who was killed about a block away from a larger protest in Tehran on June 20, 2009. Her death, which was caught on video, came to symbolize the brutal crackdown the Iranian regime was carrying out against its people. [1]
